WE TEACH YOU RIGHT FIRST TIME.

Popular milonguero style as danced in tango clubs throughout Argentina.

La Salida (Gateway to the Tango) is the basic step which you will learn in 20 minutes. You will also learn other traditional figures, including Ocho (forward and back), Quadrado, Parada, Gancho, Abanico and Giro.  These are fun moves and an important part of your dance style.

Correct Tango style and movement with good balance, flow, leaders and followers technique all completely covered.

Courses are 10 weeks long, with one hour classes.   Beginners classes are held on Fridays at 6.30 pm and Wednesdays at 6.00 pm, followed by intermediate and advanced courses.

Regular enrolment dates.      

Partners are not necessary.  

Couples can stay together if they wish.

Dancers can come to the other Argentine Tango course of the same level and any lower level.

, Denise McCoombe and Graham Young, the 2002 Buenos Aires World Intermediate Argentine Tango Champions and also other Argentine Tango champions of New Zealand have been taught using John's system that is derived from Tango greats Juan Copes, Eduardo Arquimbau, Osvaldo Zotto, Carlos Coppella, Mingo Pugliese, Omar Vegas and others.

Level 1 - Beginners courses - No experience necessary

These cover three forms of the basic step (the salida) and will introduce you to a number of variations ranging from the ocho to the sentada.

Level 2 - Intermediate and Advanced

At level 2 you will learn more tango variations as well as  the Milonga and the Tango Waltz, two very popular forms of Tango in the Argentine

Every level 2 course will include new variations, so every course will be different.  This means you can keep adding to your tango knowledge and enjoyment. .
